The Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes in Mechanical Engineering are accredited by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research in accordance with the Italian Self-Assessment, Periodic Assessment and Accreditation (AVA) procedure. This accreditation certifies that the programmes content sufficiently conforms to the Ministerial norms corresponding to the denomination and that the Institution offering the programme has sufficient infrastructural and management capacities.
Further information is available on the dedicated website page of the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities (ANVUR).
For the period 2012–2018, the Laurea and Laurea Magistrale programmes in Mechanical Engineering have also been awarded the EUR-ACE (the European Accreditation system for Engineering degree programmes) label, which defines the European framework for the continuous accreditation of Engineering degree programmes. This accreditation is additional to that of the Italian Education Ministry and requires conformity to training and educational standards established and recognised on the European level. The EUR-ACE label facilitates mobility for both students (and therefore between Laurea programmes) and graduates (in terms of a job market expanded beyond the national contexts).
